ART
DOESN´T
EXIST!
SINCE 2004
MIGRANT WOMAN ARTIST

ON GOING
PROJECTS
My practice begins with my first exhibition at the Museum of the History of Medicine in Vienna - Josephinum. In Quito, I develop “Cuando se va la luz”, an intercultural, creative and collaborative project.
My current body of work explores the reconfiguration of the self through photography, illustration, ceramics, comics, plants, and labs.

Since 2020, my work has been in constant development as part of a long-term artistic process that emerges from the transformation of an affective ecosystem that has gradually come apart. This trajectory includes the pandemic, as well as multiple layers of loss (family, friends, lovers, animals, work, spaces, and identity) and the ongoing reorganization of lived experience.
The project is framed within the conceptual axis: The Empty Nest — Aging After Love — A Forced Reconfiguration of the Self, and unfolds across different media such as the comic, an intimate photographic exploration of my body, and a visual and ceramic diary developed from the workshop Emotional Memory and Illustration with Alberto Montt, always accompanied by botanical presences.

GRRR!
A bear with a plant heart, human attachment, and an unresolved animal void. It inhabits these three dimensions that fail to align with each other, until a figure created by itself breaks in and reminds it of something uncomfortable: that not everything that exists can be felt. And that, even so, what is not felt also exists.

MY ILLUSTRATED DIARY
It originates from the workshop Emotional Memory and Illustration with Alberto Montt, held one week before the beginning of the pandemic. A moment prior to a significant rupture in my family life, when affective structures begin to come apart without yet having a name.
Through different graphic styles and chromatic ranges, the work builds an intimate cartography of what has been lived, where the image does not illustrate what happened, but reinterprets it, abstracts it, and reorganizes it.

- PAUSE
An intimate photographic self-exploration where the body reveals itself as a territory in transformation, shaped by life changes that redefine its form, its rhythm, and its perception.
From the reflection of the lens and the mirror, a new skin emerges in front of myself, in relation to age and to others.
